Blender ID is an authentication service, and as such, when you register an account, will collect a limited amount of personal information (name, email address, nickname). The data we gather for this service are only used for proper handling of this service.
Blender.org uses “cookies”, small text files placed on your computer, to manage registration and login, and to collect anonymous standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information.
We emphasize that blender.org only makes use of benign first party cookies.
The use of a first party cookie means that the website the visitor is actually viewing is the website that sets the cookie – not another website or advertiser. In other words, the setting of the cookie is completely controlled by us. We do not allow others to track you or to set cookies on your system when you visit blender.org. We do not allow others to put advertisement on our websites.
We use Google Analytics to help us analyse how visitors use this site. The anonymous information generated by Google Analytics cookies about your use of this website is transmitted to Google. This information is processed to compile statistical reports on website activity for this site only. We use these reports to improve the blender.org website structure and offering.
We occasionally share general usage and download statistics for visitors of blender.org with the public.
Please note: embedded content from other providers may track your interaction with our content. For example, if you click in an embedded video from YouTube, Google will track your interaction. Similarly a click on a social “share” button will result in a third party tracking that activity.
